OAO VNIPIneft Participation in the I Russian Petroleum Forum

From March 14 till 16, 2011 in the Moscow World Trade Centre the I Russian Petroleum Forum was held where key problems and prospects of the Russian oil industry were discussed.

The I Russian Petroleum Forum was organized by the Russian National Committee (RNC) of the World Petroleum Council within the framework of preparation to the 21 World Petroleum Congress (WPC) to be held in Moscow in September 2014. It should be noted that Houston (USA) and Bogota (Columbia) compete on a par with Moscow to host this event. The capital of Russia gained 24 out of 44 votes of the WPC member countries at the meeting in Beijing (China) in October 2010.

OAO VNIPIneft participated in the organization of the second plenary session of the Russian Petroleum Forum held on March 15 and completely devoted to oil refining and petrochemical industries. On this day the WTC Conference-Hall heard 19 reports concerning the most important issues related to oil refining, resource-saving and industry efficiency enhancement.

RAS Vice President academician S.M. Aldoshin opened the session. In his report he informed about main lines of fundamental researches in this field. The theme of advanced developments of the Russian petrochemical industry was continued by Director of RAS INKhS academician S.N. Khadzhiyev and V.N. Parmon, Director of the Boreskov Institute of Catalysis of the RAS Siberian Branch. Director of the RAS IPNG A.N. Dmitriyevskii told about matrix oil, a new promising feedstock.

OAO VNIPIneft General Director V.M. Kapustin presented a detailed report concerning innovations in Russian oil refining and petrochemical industries and highlighted key problems connected with the implementation of new domestic developments and potential ways of solving these problems.

Samedova from the Institute of Oil Refining Processes of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan – this is not by far a full list of speakers whose reports allowed to participants of the forum to get detailed information of the most essential current trends, researches and technologies in the field of oil refining and petrochemical industries.
